Louisville vegetarians and vegans!
I have a room available for rent (11.5' x 14') starting October 1st in Jeffersonville, Indiana. $400 flat including utilities with your own bathroom and large closet. The house has a basketball court and a large yard with space for a garden. Dogs are okay, no smoking indoors. I'm posting here, because I don't want omnivorous roommates. Leave your contact info in a comment if you're interested.
Has anyone else noticed a change in Ramsi's vegan beef? I think they've started using chopped Boca burgers, which isn't as good as before. I don't know if they made the vegan beef themselves before and they've had to stop for some reason, or if there's another reason, but I hope they ditch the Boca and go back. Guess I'll be eating falafel when I visit there from now on.
I just joined and I just wanted to say hey. :) I have been a veg for 12yrs and it's the best decision I think I have made (health wise). I think I may be low on my iron because I am cold and tired a lot. I have yet to go to the doctor about it. A friend recommended chewable kids vitamins, so I am trying that. What do you all do to keep your iron up?
I work at Mai's Thai in Jeffersonville and it's really amazing Thai food.
She makes everything to order and we have a lot of vegan/vegetarian dishes on the menu. But she'll make any of the dishes with substitutions, so just about anything can be made vegan/vegetarian.

Come see me!
I found the awesomest mini-farm 30 minutes from Louisville for sale on Craigslist today.
I'm thinking about talking to the owner about buying it. Anyone out there want to help me raise an organic garden? There are also cows, goats, and chickens, but I *think* I'd only want the chickens seeing as how I'm ovo-vegetarian.
Anyway, is anyone out there interested in participating in organic farming? There are 5 acres, so there is plenty of space to raise some awesome plants. There is also a 5 BR house with 3 Bathrooms. I could probably swing some pretty cheap rent (around $150 + share of utilities per month) for the right person who would be willing to help out with the seasonal farm duties. :-)
Has anyone else been to Ray's Monkey House?
Apparently it just opened about 2 months ago near the corner of Bardstown and Bonnycastle.
Its just a little coffee shop with all vegan baked goods (there were cookies, scones, and bagels with tofutti when I was there) soy delicious ice cream, and agave nectar!
What do you all consider the best veg food in Louisville?
I am partial to the roasted veggie panini at Ramsi's, the sesame soybeans at Zen Garden, and of course the famous M5, mock duck, at Vietnam Kitchen.
